As we reach the vernal equinox at the precise moment this post goes up, I’m taking a moment to reflect on the end of a long, cold winter in Hartford with some of the images I captured of the experience.

After a summer spent under construction to fully overhaul the pond, work is finally complete and our city park looks more beautiful than ever. In the distance, the State Capitol is lit by the last of the warm early-autumn sunshine.

Warm sunshine, perfectly cloud-decorated skies, and green late-summer colors from bright sunlight make the Connecticut State Capitol look like a still from a Miyazaki movie. The architecture doesn’t hurt the comparison, either.

Connecticut State Capitol When the Light Is Right
