Not quite as dramatic as the upper falls. It’s hard to call them “falls” at all. There is a certain tranquility to them.

As much as I liked to joke that the Bay Area only had a single season, I have to admit that if you looked for it you could find fall.
Oysters
Such a quintessentially northwest scene: the intrepid few scouring a rocky beach on Hood Canal on an overcast day in the summer looking for shellfish. A little slice of heaven.
Light Pollution Sucks
I’m amazed at what I can capture with my camera, especially given that I can’t see this with my naked eyes. Still, I wish that I didn’t have to contend with the bright lights of even a small town.

I was surprised when I found that I had already named a file in this directory “The Rush.” I guess there was something about the water around here that really said “rushing” to me.
Buddhist Temple
I didn’t think the day would ever come but I’ve become nostalgic for my time in Berkeley. The coming of fall has got me thinking about walking to campus at the advent of a new school year. Walking up Channing, past this Buddhist temple every day. The temple never meant anything to me personally while I was in Berkeley but now I find myself missing walking past it in the mornings. Memories are weird.
