The little details—the hood latches, the roll cage, the vents through the plexi windows—are what made this particular vehicle stand out in the paddock. The red paint doesn’t hurt, either.

Race Track Landscape

Swagger and a backdrop of vintage NA Miatas make me want to dub this unknown individual with a dramatic title, but I’m sure there’s a tuner somewhere in Japan who has more properly earned the title.

As a child, I would have immediately begun a debate over whether the red or the blue Miata was faster. (As an adult, I can see that the blue car has a K-swap, while the red car looks, from the pulley, to be supercharged.)
Convenient Transportation?
Race-prepped cars are famously inconvenient modes of transportation, but when you need to get somewhere (with a folding chair) quickly, hanging from the door has a certain practicality.
Drifting with a Camera Car
I previously captured this camera car preparing for the action, but seeing it trailing a drifting Mustang in its very forward-facing grip-driving mode makes for an effective demonstration of the differences between the driving styles.
