Summer Wonderland
It’s a pretty weird sensation to leave home where’s in the mid-80’s and sunny in the morning and end your day in the snow… in June.

The view of the Seattle’s skyline from across the harbor always gives me the warm and fuzzies.
North Berkeley Flowers
North of Berkeley, on Grizzly Peak, mid-century modern homes block most the sunset views. I imagine great sheets of glass and tastefully appointed balconies on the other side, but the street-facing side offers mostly abbreviated driveways and garage doors. When I can peak through, though, the gardens of white flowers give way to views above the trees to Richmond and the North Bay.

Such a quintessentially northwest scene: the intrepid few scouring a rocky beach on Hood Canal on an overcast day in the summer looking for shellfish. A little slice of heaven.

Coming down here always reminds of my parents taking me and my brother down here every weekend to get vegetables and hopefully a piroshky or a gyro or some sushi!
