In the past, I’ve documented the slightly sinister feel of Canton at its most David-Lynchian. Here again, the lights of Main Street are friendly and inviting, but with that edge that small towns have. I can’t wait to see it carpeted in snow—the ambience changes again.

Wonderful neon signs. They create such fascinating colors. As you know I’m found of neon. Any stunning theater marquees in the Canton area?
In fact, there is just such a marquee! I’ll post it tomorrow.

It is the American! Though they weren’t particularly elegant when they section one screen into six small ones, the outside of the theater at least carries its old charm.
